Far Hills seeks strategies within a particular asset class that can be readily differentiated according to investor demand. Prior to representing a manager, we conduct rigorous due diligence of a manager's operations, risk-management practices, capacity issues, back office, investment disciplines, and perform professional background checks. We identify high-quality hedge and private equity funds with sound investment philosophies and strategies. Analytical and quantitative reviews are used to evaluate managers to determine their competitive advantages over their peer group, as well as their correlation to a broad array of indices. The experience, talent, and integrity of the portfolio management team are key ingredients in our evaluation. We avoid conflicts of interest brought about by overlapping strategies. Our success is ultimately driven by our ability to more efficiently use the time of potential investors and our investment managers.
