Mike Halvorson

Mike Halvorson joined Far Hills Group in 1998 to focus primarily on international institutions and family offices.  Prior to joining Far Hills Group, Mr. Halvorson served with Chase Manhattan Private Bank in New York as head of the Europe, Asia, and Middle East Group, managing a team of 25 private banking professionals focusing on these three regions. The team supported high net-worth families with an aggregate of more than $2.5 billion in assets at Chase.  During Mr. Halvorson’s tenure, the group developed a strong expertise in introducing hedge fund, private equity, and structured investment allocations to client portfolios. During 13 years at Chase, Mr. Halvorson filled several senior roles in the Private Bank, supporting high net-worth families’ financial needs around the globe.  His tenure at Chase included multiple assignments in Hong Kong and New York, as well as a posting on the Indian subcontinent. Mr. Halvorson holds an MBA in International Management from the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird), specializing in International Finance. He earned a BA in Business Administration and a BS in Engineering from Washington State University.
